The former site of Tivy High School and Peterson Middle School along Sidney Baker Street in Kerrville, Texas, was sold recently to a private developer who is currently demolishing the site. As a proud Tivy grad from the class of 1999, I attended high school all four years at this school, so it’s sad to see it go, but exciting to see what will replace it.
I was recently called out to the site to take some drone footage and photos, and I captured these images and videos while I was there.
The focal point of the old gymnasium was a huge banner that depicted a whitetail buck crashing through the brick wall on the south side of the gym. This was the backdrop to countless team photo sessions and was an impressive piece of artwork that was created in the late 80s or early 90s. These drone images capture that artwork for one of the last times.
Goodbye, old friend!
