Email is the best way to get in touch with me, but if I miss you by phone, I’ll return your call as soon as possible. Please leave a detailed message, text, or email so that I can be prepared with answers when I return your inquiry.
Why don’t we answer the phone every time?
Mine is very much a hands-on business requiring that I spend most of my time “in the field,” so to speak, capturing photos and videos, traveling to and from destinations, meeting with clients, etc., and the remainder of my time is spent in the editing booth, working in long uninterrupted blocks of time to produce your deliverables.
That means that I have very little “administrative time” in the office to answer calls that come in unannounced and unscheduled. And we’re too small of a business to have a full-time receptionist. We’d rather keep your costs down and rely on messaging (voicemail, email, text) to get in touch with you.
Best practice… Send me an email or a text with a detailed inquiry or question, and I’ll get back to you ASAP! However, if you leave a vague message with simply “call me back,” without any additional information, it will honestly take me longer to call you back, because I need to make sure I have the time and attention to have a longer conversation with you.
